Commenting on the announcement, Cook said: “William is a brilliant and visionary filmmaker, and we are excited to launch this new label with him.
It’s a real honor. Del Toro added, “As director, I love an audience in fantastic new worlds and give them some anxious moments in the process. The emphasis is on fun, and we have some ideas already on the storyboards.It is part of the canon of Disney to create exciting and memorable moments and villains in all their classic films. To associate with the Walt Disney Studios, supported by Dick Cook and John Lasseter, is to belong to an association narrative that I admire deeply.
