THEATRE SHOWS MPAA: FCC requires broadcast studio rental movies directly to consumers at first
It would put the struggling cinema chains out of business almosttoday’s action by the MPAA, representing major studios undermines the entire theatrical process. Once again, the mainstream media shows that it wants to share their profits with anyone else.
Washington, DC – In a presentation today before the Federal Communications Commission, the Motion Picture Association of America, Inc. (MPAA) reinforced the advantages of allowing studies of the shipping option of films fresh from the box office tens of million U.S. households
This is especially true for parents of young children, rural Americans who live far from the multiplex and people with disabilities who have the closer to home, President and CEO of the MPAA, Dan Glickman, said. “Many of us love the movies, but just can not get to the theater as often as we would like. “After adding the option of enjoying movies in a more timely fashion in the home would be releasing a new option.
MPAA explained that the release of this high value as part of a window before, especially with regard to movies released for home or even near vision during its initial theatrical run, necessarily requires the highest possible level of protection through the use of SOC.In his presentation, which was in response to letters of opposition filed by Public Knowledge, the MPAA said, “the granting of the exemption for the first time allow millions of consumers for high-value determining stage, HD movies for a early release window that is not available today.
Consumers will have access to everything we have today, including DVDs, Netflix, etc.SOC, or control output of the selected technology would allow televisions to digital security interfaces to receive the first run, high-definition content from a cable or satellite provider. These outputs can be disabled only with respect to the new content offered, and this technology would have no impact on the capacity of existing devices to receive the content they receive today. SOC use protected content as it essentially disables unsafe, analog outputs to avoid circumvention illegal distribution of copyrighted material.
“That is a recipe for the celebration of all the hostages as the ultimate consumer innovation to adopt a new technologyThe presentation MPAA said: When a curious public reckoning, however knowledge, no consumer-oriented technological advancement could be ever introduced to America unless and until the houses every home in America had access to the same at the time of the same at the moment in time.
“In Focus Public Knowledge, the Commission would have taken decades to allow television stations to broadcast in color, as millions of U.S. households had purchased in black and white sets when transmitting the color were introduced into the 1950’s. Provided that innovative technologies to bring consumers new and better opportunities for the content of the media, there is always a lag between when the first users to take advantage of these opportunities as they are in all parties.
But I also believe that there is ample room additional options for meeting the demand for movies in various new forms. If allowed by the FCC, I think this new option will be one of the many exciting innovations to come that will benefit consumers and keep the future of this medium creative.Glickman added: “I, like most film fans consider the best way to enjoy a movie is going to the theater with friends and share a communal laughter and adventure together consumers.
