Unfortunately, more recent projects we are linking with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Beyond and The Lovely Bones. Add next Christmas’ The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, War Horse in addition to his planned adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson ’s Robopocalyspe and you have an imminent return to form of the beard, whose last major movie was way back in 2002 for Catch Me If You Can (if you ask me). I must say I am a big fan of all things Spielberg. Saving Private Call Seabiscuit, if you will.War Horse, in particular, seems likely to replace in the Oscar race, which with its backdrop of World War I, and little horse-that-could story. (Well, he produced the excellent HBO mini-series The Pacific, too, but cinematically man record track of recent times has been pretty average.) And yet here we are on the verge of a possible (perhaps even monumental) back, what with True Grit (producing) continuing around the corner, let alone the next a number of promising new Transformers movie: The Dark Side of the Moon, JJ Abram Super 8, Real Steel Cowboys and Aliens on the horizon.
This is shaping up to be a good drink of water after a long drought in fact
